How commissions affect our reviews
They don't. Our review scores and verdicts are based on real testing — we ran 50 videos per tool in our April-May 2026 test bench. A tool with a higher commission rate does not receive a higher score. HeyGen scores 8.7/10 because it outperformed Synthesia (8.4/10) in our vertical video and pricing tests — not because of commission rate differences.
